Parents’ Guide: All About Cub Scouts
Parents, learn about the values, safety, and lifelong benefits Cub Scouts offers your child. Let’s embark on this journey together.
What is Cub Scouts?
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, providing programs for young people that build character. All Scouts learn these words, but more importantly, they understand what they mean. Cub Scouts come to understand the value of making these Scouting ideals part of their everyday lives.

Learning
Kids show a natural tendency to explore their world. Science offers them the tools necessary to gain a better understanding of what they observe. The Cub Scout science activities offer the boys an opportunity to be introduced to different scientific fields and gain experience through hands-on projects.
Teamwork
When Scouts engage in an activity that requires them to work together in order to satisfy an objective, team building comes into play. Scouts will need to use teamwork, pool their resources, and share leadership—all qualities of a well-working pack.
