About the Rank
Scouts who are in First Grade or higher must earn their Bobcat Rank before they can earn any other rank. Becoming a Bobcat helps you learn what it means to become a Scout.
Requirements
The requirements and information necessary to earn you Bobcat rank are include in every Cub Scout Handbook.
- Learn and say the Scout Oath
- Learn and say the Scout Law
- Show the Cub Scout sign & tell what it means
- Show the Cub Scout handshake & tell what it means
- Say the Cub Scout motto & tell what it means
- Show the Cub Scout salute & tell what it means
- With your parent or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.
