We are traveling up on Friday night to Perfect North Slopes https://maps.app.goo.gl/yU6pDsjxLgw5uuPb8
It’s a 4 1/2 hour drive from here with the weather, so we will need to leave by 1:00 pm CST Friday Feb 7th in order to get there by 7:00pm EST with a 30 minute stop for fuel and dinner. This is just Northwest of Cincinnati so we have to account for the time zone difference.
Sleeping will be in a boy scout lodge, think of it as indoor camping so bring a sleeping bag/pillow, pajamas and a toiletry bag. Showers will be communal, so bring sandals, a towel and a shower bag to carry your soap/shampoo and shower essentials.

Ski Gear. Helmets will be provided and are required. You will need to provide your own googles or sunglasses. Costco does have a great deal on Blue Sky helmets and goggles. You will want some kind of face protection, so a face gator, scarf or balaclava is a good idea. You will want a base layer, PJs or thermal underwear, then just wear your snow clothes over the top. If it’s really cold, you can add an extra layer, but it does sacrifice mobility and most of the time you get enough exercise to stay warm without needing too many layers. Warm gloves or mittens are a must! Disposable hand warmers will help as well. If you are just learning, I do suggest padded shorts because; whether you ski or snowboard, you will fall. The shorts make it a lot more comfortable. Most importantly, bring good socks! I recommend a thin sock against your skin with a thick, quality wool sock over that. You want to stay warm and reduce and reduce any chance of blisters. Bring warm winter boots to walk to and from the slopes.
